Carcassonne, France
Caravans can stay in the castle car park for 10 euros / 24 hours. There are free drinking water and electricity facilities available, but only from a kiosk near the entrance for 15 min intervals. We visited during early May 2008 and there were only 5-7 vans in the car park so there was no trouble using the facilities. There is also a public toilet, but it was in pretty bad shape cleanliness wise. Very convenient to visit the castle, and there are also nearby supermarkets, bakeries and butcher shops just down the hill. There are several other camping options around town as well, but I doubt they were as conveniently located or as cheap.
